We are looking to recruit a Qualified Lawyer within our Employment team. We are looking for someone to work predominantly in either our Banbury or Rugby office.
About the Role
You will provide technically correct, commercial advice whilst collaborating with customers to solve their legal problems. You will be working in specialist employment team with 4 solicitors and one trainee, and you will be expected to pro-actively manage your own caseload and work with the Head of Practice area in relation to more complex matters. The workload will include general advisory and HR management, litigation, TUPE and supporting our commercial team with the corporate transactions.
In order to be successful you must be a qualified lawyer (either as a Solicitor or Legal Executive) with experience gained in both contentious and non contentious aspects of Employment Law. Your will have experience working on behalf of both employer and employee, and provide commercially structured solutions to legal problems. You must have a robust knowledge of the legal services industry along with experience of case management and managing a portfolio. You will be accountable for organising your own workload and make independent decisions relating to the area of your responsibility. You will manage higher fee earning targets to contribute to the fee earning potential for your practice area and you must be able to communicate effectively on every level; you are on the front line of customer communications and must set the example to other staff in the delivery of exceptional customer service. To be successful in this role you must be able to work independently and be self motivated, but also work well in a team in order for practice area goals to be met. You must be able to build strong working relationships both internally and externally and participate in business development opportunities. Whilst not set, we would expect you to be 3-8 years PQE.
