​Experienced Family Solicitor opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Solicitor  to strengthen our successful Family team based at our city centre office in York.  This is a great opportunity for someone looking to manage a varied and high quality caseload - providing specialist  legal advice and representation on high quality cases whilst ensuring excellent  standards of client care.  This is an exciting time to join our team who have again been recognised by the Legal 500 for the quality of their advice and to support the continued growth of the team.   This role would be ideal for a Solicitor with 5 years + PQE or someone looking to move to a senior position within the team.

The team deal with Private Family law cases, covering the following areas:

·         Divorce and separation

·         Financial settlements

·         Child arrangements

·         Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements

·         Cohabitation disputes

·         Domestic abuse

What the role will involve:

• Providing clear, strategic advice to clients, demonstrating empathy with practical legal guidance.
• Conduct negotiations on behalf of clients to achieve favourable outcomes.
• Attending court proceedings and representing clients in family law proceedings
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, delivering the highest standards of client care.
• Collaborating with other professionals to support the client’s needs
• Contributing to business development and helping grow the firm’s client base and reputation.
• Keeping updated on changes in family law legislation and best practices
• Mentoring and supporting our junior team members

We would love to hear from you if you have proven experience in Family Law, pride yourself in delivering excellent client care and  want exposure to high quality cases.  Our ideal candidate will:

• Have a solid Family  Law  background – ideally 5 years plus  
• Have a compassionate approach towards clients facing challenging personal circumstances
• Have excellent communication skills to support the best possible client care
• Demonstrate some experience in successful Business Development and Marketing initiatives
