Reporting to the Residential Conveyancing Solicitor at Abingdon, the candidate will be responsible for supporting a professional and efficient Residential Conveyancing service.
The successful candidate will be an experienced and committed Legal Secretary who enjoys Residential Conveyancing typing work. They will ideally have significant recent experience of working in a busy administrative support role doing high volume Residential Conveyancing support work. The Legal Secretary will be a proficient and accurate typist (70 wpm), with broad experience working within a busy high street Residential Conveyancing practice. They will be responsible for opening all new files for the fee earners in the office. They will be proactive and will deal with all routine Residential Conveyancing matters. They will have basic knowledge of standard conveyancing forms, draft contracts, transfers, OS1s and K15s. They will be adept at using case management to optimise efficiency. They will be prepared to implement best practice to create a streamlined typing service. They will provide excellent front line support to the Solicitor and be a professional and efficient first point of contact to clients. They will be comfortable working within a small team of Residential Conveyancing support staff within an open plan environment.
Commensurate with experience
3% employer pension contributions (Employee contributions set at 5%) 25 days holiday + usual bank holidays pro-rated to contracted hours
