Post of: Assistant Solicitor (Litigation)
Reporting to: Nominated Partner (Litigation)
Main purpose of Job: To provide a professional legal service to allocated clients. To maintain and develop own technical legal capability.

SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
1 / 2 years qualified Solicitor with current practising certificate
Experience of Civil and Commercial litigation is essential and also Property Litigation.
Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Case Management Software;
Good written and oral communication skills;
Excellent telephone manner;
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels;
Ability to analyse information and present accurate findings;
Ability to draft own correspondence, County Court pleadings and applications;
Ability to advise clients on residential landlord and tenant issues personally and via the telephone or via email;
Ability to supervise and delegate to junior staff where appropriate;
Ability to work within a team and in an open plan office
environment.
Willingness to learn and develop skills in a range of areas of litigation
Ability to build strong relationships with existing clients, other members of staff and have the potential to establish new client contacts through networking
Computer literate
