Childcare Solicitor

The Role

We have an exciting position available within our Childcare and Protection Team based at our Office in Chandlers Ford.

Our experienced team manage a variety of cases where Social Services Departments have taken steps or indicated an intention to do so in the course of their Statutory Child Protection Duties. Our team combine their professional skills with the highest level of sensitivity, highlighting their exceptional reputation.

Your role will involve handling your own caseload of childcare matters ranging from child protection to adoption proceedings. You will be acting for children, parents and other family members at all stages including: emergency applications, case conferences, hearings and reviews. 

You will have an excellent knowledge of the public funding system, LAA procedures and be able to undertake your own advocacy. Furthermore, you will ideally have Law Society Child Panel Membership as well as built relationships with CAFCASS and other childcare agencies. You will have exceptional communication skills and be a strong team player, expected to work collaboratively across the department.
