The Role

We have a vacancy for an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join our busy and well respected Residential Real Estate team. The position is full-time and based in our Colchester office and, subject to work commitments, there will be the opportunity for some working from home, if desired, in line with the Firm’s working from home guidelines.

The Department

You will join the dedicated and fast paced Residential Real Estate team which provides a wide range of specialist property services to include:

• sales and purchase of leasehold and freehold property;
• re-mortgages;
• equity release;
• new build/plots;
• tenancy agreements;
• transfer of equity.

The Candidate

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Conveyancing Assistant to deliver a proactive, legal support service to our highly regarded Lawyers within the team.  The candidate will have at least one years previous conveyancing assistance experience or legal secretarial assistance within a residential property environment. This is mandatory to enable all correspondence and documents to be produced to the required standard and on time.  

You will understand how a property file runs from beginning to end and take responsibility for the file efficiently to include searches, enquiries, drafting contracts and all matters from post exchange prior to completion.
