Job Description

Are you looking for a career in Business and Administration? We are seeking an eager to learn and enthusiastic apprentice to assist our office team. You’ll learn all aspects of office life and an insight to a career in Law and the Legal system.

What you will do in your working day

Throughout the programme you will gain experience in the support department within Clifton Ingram, giving you an insight into the legal sector.

Assist with Reception

  • Covering reception
  • Handling inbounds calls
  • Booking meeting rooms and clearing after use
  • Meeting and greeting new clients

General back-office tasks

  • Archiving legal files
  • Handling post (inbound and outbound)
  • Photocopying and scanning
  • Client management
  • Responding to emails
  • Confidential waste/shredding
  • Ordering Stationery and kitchen supplies
  • Assist other departments with ad hoc tasks
  • Health & Safety tasks, learning required with what regulations and compliance need to be followed.

You may from time to time be asked to assist other departments when needed, which may require travel to other offices. You will receive training in any new tasks given to you and this is a great way to collect further evidence for your apprenticeship studies.

Clifton Ingram LLP will provide ongoing training, as will Boom Training with a designated assessor.

The training you will be getting

Level 3 Business Administrator Standard, which includes:

  • Modules covering Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours in Business
  • You'll have a personal tutor to guide you through your training
  • You will attend 1:1 sessions with your tutor every 2/3 weeks
  • End Point Assessment (online)
  • Occasional group classes with other learners
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in maths & English if required
  • Business Administrator Certificate from IFATE and City & Guilds

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

If the apprentice proves to be successful with his/her duties, the role may be expanded once the apprenticeship is completed, if there is a suitable vacancy available.
