We are looking to recruit a Senior Associate (Technical Specialist) who is a Contentious Probate Specialist (ACTAPS) within our Bicester office
About the Role
As a Qualified Lawyer you will provide advice within the WTP Practice Area, based on policy and legislation. A technical specialist is required who is a Contentious Probate Specialist (ACTAPS) qualified.
A strong background in estate disputes, professional negligence, inheritance disputes, litigation arising out of the Court of Protection, contentious trusts, validity of wills, capacity, undue influence and applications for rectification.
You will be responsible for marketing and promoting the team and maintaining and growing workflows into the department.
You will undertake specialist or technical research and analysis, conduct investigations, and demonstrate effective delegation of procedural, clerical, and administrative tasks to Legal Assistants or Legal Secretaries as appropriate.
In order to be successful you must be qualified in the area of practice (either as a solicitor, or a Legal Executive) with Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) with experience in a large regional or national firm.
You must have a robust knowledge of the legal services industry along with experience of case management and managing a portfolio. You will be accountable for organising your own workload and make independent decisions relating to the area of your responsibility. You will manage higher fee earning targets to contribute to the fee earning potential for your practise area you must be able to communicate effectively on every level; you are on the front line of customer communications and must set the example to other staff in the delivery of exceptional customer service. To be successful in this role you must be able to work independently and be self motivated, but also work well in a team in order for practise area goals to be met. You must be able to build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
