Job: Litigation Solicitor (Property Litigation - Residential Landlord & Tenant)

Are you an experienced Property Litigation Lawyer seeking a role that combines hands-on legal work with team supervision? At Dutton Gregory, we’re looking for a skilled professional to join our growing Property Lettings & Revenue team in Chandler’s Ford.

Our Property Litigation team handles a broad range of disputes and is known for providing practical, high-quality advice to landlords. As part of our team, you’ll work on challenging cases while mentoring and supporting junior colleagues.
The Role
As a Property Litigation Lawyer, you’ll manage a diverse caseload of defended landlord and tenant disputes, including:
• Tenancy document drafting and review.
• Notices and court applications.
• Possession claims.
• Revenue recovery.
• Defended claims.
• Dilapidations, rent arrears, and service charge disputes.
• Providing training internally and externally.
• Assist the Head of Department with building and delivering service packages to agents.
In addition to managing your own caseload, you’ll also play a supervisory role, supporting and guiding junior team members to ensure the delivery of excellent client service.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
• Have between 4-9 years PQE in property litigation, with significant experience in residential landlord and tenant disputes (with a good understanding of residential possession work in the private rented sector).
• Ideally have a good understanding of residential possession work.
• Ideally have experience of tenancy document and terms of business drafting and review.
• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen.
• Be confident managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision.
• Possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with a passion for mentoring and developing others.
• Have a reasonable knowledge of repossession and excellent knowledge of the CPR.
• Enjoy networking and business development.
