About the Role As a Solicitor, you will provide advice and assistance to people who are seeking compensation as result of having suffered life changing injuries. The work we undertake is typically valued in six, seven and eight figures. You will be joining a small and focused team recognised for its strength in spinal cord injury litigation in particular. We assist some of the most seriously injured claimants and we have a national coverage. About you In order to be successful you must be qualified in the area of practice (either as a Solicitor or as a Legal Executive). You are likely to have 5-10 years post qualification experience with your main focus being in specialist high value catastrophic (serious injury) litigation. You are likely to have been conducting spinal cord injury, brain injury, amputation and other life changing injuries litigation on behalf of claimants for the last 5-10 years. You are also likely to have some experience of conducting clinical negligence cases involving serious injuries. You will probably have been (or you are on the way to being) recognised with individual accreditation with some or all of APIL (Senior Litigator or above), the SRA, Headway, AVMA as well as Chambers and Partners and the Legal 500. You will be knowledgeable about the serious injury sector and experienced in working to cash and fees targets, as well as lockup, time, disbursements and debtors targets. You will have excellent communication skills and you will be demonstrably credible to prospective clients and their families. You will need to be able to work independently but also as part of a team when situations dictate.
