At Brethertons, it is the people that matter the most. We have a really strong set of values that we all demonstrate, we have a collaborative and cohesive culture, with a results driven customer centric delivery of legal services that we are proud of.
We have created a streamlined organisation, we aim to foster an environment of choice with clear career development paths, a focus on learning and development and a highly supportive structure.
About the Role
We are looking to welcome an experienced Solicitor into our Wills, Trusts & Probate team.
As a Qualified Solicitor, you will deliver high‑quality legal advice grounded in relevant policy and legislation. This is a generalist WTP role, requiring the ability to manage a varied caseload that includes wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate matters, and trusts for high-net-worth individuals. You will provide thorough and accurate legal guidance, while also demonstrating effective delegation of appropriate administrative tasks to Legal Assistants or Paralegals.
About you
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a strong and comprehensive understanding of the full WTP caseload, along with proven experience in case management and overseeing a diverse portfolio. You’ll have the confidence and capability to organise your own workload, make sound independent decisions, and take ownership of your cases from start to finish. You will be working towards fee‑earning targets that contribute directly to the success of the team, so the ability to communicate clearly and professionally at all levels is essential. While you’ll need to be self‑motivated and comfortable working independently, you’ll also play a key part in a collaborative team environment helping to achieve shared goals and build strong working relationships internally and externally. Whilst not essential, it is ideal that you are STEP qualified, working towards it, or looking to complete STEP qualifications in the near future.
What’s in return?
