Employment Associate Solicitor

 We are excited to offer a rare opportunity for an Employment Associate Solicitor to join our thriving Commercial Litigation team. Working directly alongside our Employment Director, you will play a key role in developing our employment law offering, advising both employers and employees across a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.   

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, wants genuine client contact, and is keen to help shape the future growth of an expanding practice area. The role is open to candidates of varying PQE as capability and character are key to this appointment.

This position offers flexibility in terms of location, with the successful candidate able to work from any of our office locations following an initial onboarding period. For the first six months, the role will be primarily Swansea-based to support training, integration and team collaboration.

We are also open to considering part-time applications, with a minimum commitment of three days per week.

The Role

You will be working in all areas of contentious and advisory employment law such as:

·         Handling employment disputes, tribunal cases, and resolution strategies

·         Advising clients on complex employment contracts, policies, and procedures

·         Supporting businesses through TUPE transfers, restructures, and redundancy programs

·         Offering support to our Corporate Commercial team

·         Offering strategic HR advice on matters such as dismissals, grievances, and employee relations.

The successful candidate should:

·         Have experience in employment law

·         Have strong technical knowledge and excellent drafting skills

·         Enjoy building client relationships and delivering practical, commercial advice

·         Be confident managing your own caseload while working collaboratively within a team

·         Have an interest in business development and helping grow a developing practice area
