Senior Litigator – Wokingham

Clifton Ingram LLP is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Litigation Solicitor (12+ years PQE) to join our growing team based in Wokingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled senior litigator to take on a varied and rewarding caseload whilst playing a key role in the continued development of the department.

The Role

You will handle a broad range of civil litigation matters including insolvency, contentious probate, contractual disputes, commercial disputes (including shareholder, partnership and directors’ disputes) and consumer disputes. Experience in personal injury and medical negligence would be helpful but not essential.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own caseload of litigation matters from instruction through to resolution
• Representing clients in mediation and court hearings where appropriate, or instructing counsel
• Providing clear, practical, and commercially focused legal advice
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships
• Supporting the growth and development of the litigation team
• Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff where appropriate

Shared secretarial support will be provided, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality legal services and client care.

About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• 12+ years’ PQE as a qualified Solicitor
• Strong experience in insolvency and commercial litigation
• Proven track record of managing a varied litigation caseload
• Excellent case management and organisational skills
• Strong advocacy, negotiation and client care skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to undertake supervisory responsibilities, including supporting and overseeing paralegals, trainee solicitors and junior fee earners where appropriate
• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development
