IMTIAZ ALI
Imtiaz Ali Hyderabad, Pakistan Email: imtiazj792@gmail.com LinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/imtiaz-ali January 08, 2026 Hiring Committee JCP Solicitors Carmarthen / Swansea Dear Hiring Committee, I am writing to apply for the Graduate Legal Assistant / Trainee Solicitor position within the Inheritance and Trust Disputes team at JCP Solicitors. With a strong academic foundation in law, practical experience in litigation support and legal drafting, and a clear intention to qualify as a solicitor in England and Wales through the SQE route, I am highly motivated to develop my career within a firm that places genuine emphasis on training, collaboration, and professional growth. I hold a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) (Honours) degree from BRAC University, Bangladesh, which I completed on a fully funded merit-based scholarship. My legal education included substantial training in contract law, civil procedure, and dispute resolution, and developed my ability to analyse complex factual and legal issues with precision. I am currently preparing to pursue qualification through the SQE pathway, and I am particularly attracted to this role as it offers Qualifying Work Experience (QWE) alongside structured supervision and professional development. Professionally, I have gained hands-on experience as a Legal Associate in both firm-based and freelance roles, supporting contentious matters through legal research, drafting correspondence and pleadings, preparing affidavits and witness-related documents, and organising case files for court proceedings. I have worked closely with supervising lawyers on litigation strategy, client communications, and procedural compliance. These responsibilities closely mirror the core functions of this role, including assisting with dispute files, preparing bundles, supporting hearings, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism. In addition, I have extensive experience conducting legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and HeinOnline, and I am confident in my ability to quickly develop expertise in inheritance and trust disputes, including claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, contentious probate matters, and trust-related applications. While my direct exposure to contentious probate is developing, I bring a strong litigation mindset, attention to detail, and a genuine willingness to learn qualities I understand are essential for success in this specialist area. I am particularly drawn to JCP Solicitors because of its strong reputation for client-focused dispute resolution, its commitment to trainee development, and its inclusive and values-driven culture. I greatly admire the firm’s leadership in diversity and inclusion, as well as its support for the Welsh language and community engagement. I am enthusiastic about contributing positively to the team while building long-term expertise in contentious private client work. Thank you for considering my application. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my skills, motivation, and commitment to qualification align with the needs of your Inheritance and Trust Disputes team. Yours sincerely, Imtiaz Ali
