Accounts Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Accounts team and support our financial operations.

The Accounts Assistant will work closely with Accounts Team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of JCP’s accounts function, with particular attention to accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.

The role would ideally suit a candidate looking to develop a new career as full training and mentoring will be provided. The successful candidate will have the ability to multitask and will have good interpersonal skills that will enable you to liaise with team members at all levels across the business.  

What you will do:

·       Assist team members with relevant finance/accounts related tasks

·       Update purchase ledger and post supplier invoices

·       Post client bills and accurately transfer funds between client and office ledgers

·       Process daily bank deposits and handle cheque and BACS/CHAPS payments

·       Prepare daily banking and reconcile client/office accounts

·       Perform cash book and bank reconciliations

·       Reconcile disbursement accounts

·       Assist with credit control activities and respond to case handler and client queries

·       Help with monthend and adhoc financial reporting

·       Process petty cash, expenses, and credit-card reconciliation
