Paralegal

Job Description

Some roles are stepping stones. This one's a launchpad.

We're looking for a motivated paralegal with a genuine interest in corporate, commercial, and property law.  You will want to build your career working alongside experienced, collaborative solicitors - gaining hands-on exposure, taking real responsibility, and being given the support to grow - you'll develop a great foundation to take your career to the next level.

It's rare to find a role that offers meaningful experience across two areas of law simultaneously, giving you a broader perspective and a stronger foundation for your legal career. Your tasks and responsibilities will be varied:

  • Corporate and Commercial - work will include M&A, investment arrangements, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, corporate reorganisations, EMI options, commercial contracts, LLPs, and partnerships etc.
  • Commercial Property - work will include leasehold and freehold transactions, sales and purchases, commercial leases, refinancing and landlord and tenant matters.

You will work closely with the Heads of Department and qualified solicitors in both the Corporate and Commercial Team and the Commercial Property Team, supporting them across transactions and other matters, while gaining qualifying work experience if you are completing the SQE. If you have completed the LPC, you may have the opportunity to apply for a training contract after your first 6 months in post.

If you qualify as a solicitor, you may be offered an NQ role if we have an opportunity that aligns to your preferred practice area and supports our business needs.

About You:

We're looking for someone with strong academic credentials, ideally a 2:1 or above in law or equivalent, Experience in either Corporate and Commercial or Commercial Property in a similar role would be advantageous.  In addition, you will be someone who reflects our values - supportive and collaborative, respectful in how you engage with others, integrity led, and genuinely approachable.

  • Proactive and organised with good time management skills
  • An analytical thinker with great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong legal research and drafting skills
