Commercial Property Lawyer

Job Description

We are looking for a Lawyer with a Commercial Property focus to join the team at our Clifton Moor office dealing with a high quality property caseload.

Working closely with our Head of Property, you will have the opportunity to engage with landowners, commercially focused property owners, property developers, house builders and agricultural clients on a range of matters. The spectrum of potential work is broad, and support will be offered to assist in areas that you may have less experience in – ultimately we are looking for someone who has a willingness to both conduct transactions they are confident and  skilled in and also grow and develop their experience through supporting their senior colleagues on more complex cases.

Transaction types include:

  • Sale and purchase of leasehold and freehold property – commercial and residential;
  • Sale and purchase of land subject to conditions (including planning);
  • Promotion agreements;
  • Grant of Leases – residential/commercial;
  • Development work encompassing site sales and acquisitions, option agreements, overage agreements, planning agreements, infrastructure agreements and plot sales;
  • Easements;
  • Secured Lending;
  • Property portfolio financing.

Working alongside colleagues in the wider Commercial Property team and the firm’s Agricultural Property and Company Commercial teams, the successful candidate will join a friendly, approachable and supportive team.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Build and strengthen both existing and new relationships with a wide range of clients
  • Ideally have at least 2 years experience but we are happy to consider candidates with less
  • Demonstrate excellent client care skills
  • Have experience and confidence in meeting and networking with industry professionals and clients
