The Role

Clifton Ingram is currently recruiting for an experienced full-time Paralegal to join our busy and rapidly growing Residential Conveyancing team based in Farnham. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 2 years' residential conveyancing experience who are looking to further develop their career within a supportive and established team.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in a residential conveyancing role within a law firm, with a strong working knowledge of conveyancing processes and procedures from instruction through to post-completion. Experience with Tikit Partner for Windows would be advantageous.

This role requires excellent client care skills, enthusiasm to deliver a high standard of service, strong organisational abilities and the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team. It is also important to be comfortable using modern IT systems, audio and copy typing, diary management and handling multiple priorities whilst managing your own workload effectively. 

Duties

The successful candidate will support the Residential Conveyancing team on a varied caseload and will be expected to work with a high degree of competence and autonomy. Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and responding to client enquiries and providing updates to clients, estate agents, lenders and solicitors.
  • Opening files and ensuring all matters remain fully compliant.
  • Drafting contract packs.
  • Dealing with post-exchange administration.
  • Preparing Certificates of Title (COTs).
  • Carrying out final searches.
  • Submitting SDLT returns and AP1 applications.
  • Dealing with Land Registry requisitions.
  • Assisting fee earners with transactions from instruction through to completion and post-completion.
  • Audio and copy typing as required.

Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality are essential for this role.
