We are a busy and well-respected criminal defence law firm seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Paralegal Caseworker to join our growing team.

We’ll provide you with invaluable experience working alongside experienced criminal defence Solicitors and Barristers. You’ll attend police stations, magistrates’ courts and the Crown Court, and develop practical legal skills that can’t be learned in a classroom.

What You’ll Do

• Assist solicitors with a varied criminal defence caseload.
• Prepare legal documents, witness statements and court bundles.
• Liaise with clients, courts, barristers and external agencies.
• Conduct legal research and case preparation.
• Attend court hearings and client meetings.
• Assist with police station and litigation work where appropriate.
• Manage files and ensure compliance with legal procedures. 

What We’re Looking For

• A law student in their final year or graduate with a strong interest in criminal law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and work to deadlines.
• A genuine interest in criminal justice and representing clients.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  
  

Previous legal work experience is welcomed but not essential. We value enthusiasm, commitment and a desire to build a career in criminal defence.
