About the team 

Our highly regarded commercial litigation team is described in the Legal 500 directory as “having a really strong litigation team, and experience managing sensitive large-scale proceedings with a keen eye on the client's best interest. They are also, frankly, lovely people to deal with”. The team acts on a wide range of high-quality litigation matters including general contract and director/shareholder disputes. The team have extensive non-contentious advisory work and contentious insolvency disputes work, and often handles work referred from London and national practices where they are conflicted and has an extensive roster of Insolvency Practitioner clients.  

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious commercial litigation solicitor to join our growing Dispute Resolution team. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor or solicitor with up to 2 years' PQE to develop their career within a supportive and established team, working on a broad range of commercial disputes for businesses, directors, shareholders and private clients. 

The successful candidate will assist on complex matters whilst building and managing their own caseload, delivering practical and commercially focused advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities: 

Activities will be varied and will include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Managing a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters with appropriate supervision  

  • Drafting correspondence, court pleadings, witness statements and settlement agreements 

  • Assisting team members on complex and high-value disputes  

  • Progressing matters from initial instruction through to settlement or trial 

  • Preparing trial bundles and supporting counsel 

  • Attending hearings, mediations and client meetings 

  • Conducting legal research and preparing advice notes 

  • Build strong relationships with clients and provide exceptional client service 

  • Supporting business development, networking and marketing initiatives  

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively 

Skills & Attributes: 

Essential: 

  • NQ – 2 years PQE experience
